The space
One standard parking spot
Off-street, gravel, and not gated. Your whole setup must fit in the space.
What this is
This is not a campground or an RV park. It is one standard parking space at a friendly Asheville hostel for travelers who sleep in their car or van and would rather start the morning with a real shower and a good cup of coffee.
We are on Asheville's north side, close to Woodfin and a short drive from downtown. It works especially well as a base for people spending their days hiking, riding the Parkway, chasing waterfalls, or exploring western North Carolina.
Car camping isn't automatically bookable. Send us your dates and vehicle details first; we will confirm the space before taking full payment.
Included in your stay
You bring the sleeping setup. We provide the facilities that make a night in the vehicle much easier.
Shampoo and Soap provided, and towels upon request at check-in.
Self-serve coffee, tea, oatmeal, cereal, eggs, bread, and milk.
Use the shared dishes, silverware, pots, and spice rack to make your own meals.
Easy road access for town, the Parkway, Pisgah, waterfalls, and mountain day trips.
Fits in one spot?
Not a fit:
RVs, oversized vehicles, tow-behind campers or trailers, and ground tents. If you are unsure, include the vehicle length and a short description in your inquiry.
Before you ask
Worth the drive
The advantage of arriving in your own vehicle is that Asheville's best day trips are already within reach.
Choose an overlook, a short trail, or a long ridgeline drive. Conditions can change, so check the National Park Service road status before leaving.
Check Parkway statusDrive US-276 through Pisgah National Forest for roadside waterfalls, forest stops, and access to Brevard.
Follow the winding roads north for a small mountain town on the French Broad River and Appalachian Trail.
Keep the day close to home with downtown Asheville, the River Arts District, or the French Broad River greenway.
Advance arrangement required
This is an inquiry, not an automatic booking. We will review your dates and vehicle, then reply with availability and payment instructions.
